11/03/08 ISG Pearce is one of the UK's Best Companies to Work
The survey is the only one of its kind in the UK that ranks companies on the basis of what their employees have to say, in categories such as leadership, personal growth and well being.
ISG Pearce was second out of eight construction companies in the top 100 and one of only three companies based in the South West.
The prestigious award comes after ISG Pearce was acquired by fast-growing construction services group ISG in November last year.
ISG Pearce, Senior Human Resources Advisor, Sarah Conner, said: “This award is excellent news for us and we are thrilled at the improvement on last year’s result. We have all worked tirelessly to ensure ISG Pearce remains a great company to work for and this achievement is reflected in our staff retention rates which are particularly high for the industry we are in.
“Another factor for our higher ranking was the leadership shown by our Chief Executive Colin Forrest especially throughout the acquisition. We operate an open and honest company where every member of the team has the opportunity to raise issues or concerns directly with Colin, or via our intranet; it’s a great way of keeping the communication flow across all elements of our business.
“We are also extremely pleased with our score for wellbeing as it was the rating we wanted to improve following last year’s results. We have in place a social committee which arranges a number of fully-funded events, including family away days throughout the year.”
Colin Forrest, ISG Pearce Chief Executive said: “As a company we have total commitment to our staff. The development and satisfaction of our employees is of paramount importance and extremely relevant when striving to achieve our corporate objectives.
“We are very proud of our staff who are spread out across the country on a range of projects. Being acknowledged as one of the best companies to work for in the UK by The Sunday Times is a great achievement.
“We will continue to work hard to ensure ISG Pearce remains a great place to work, and we hope to continue moving up the list again next year.”
