20/09/07 Sponsorship Deal Boosts Local Football Club
Bristol-based ISG Pearce is sponsoring Olveston United Football Club reserves, providing funding for kit and essential training equipment.
Tony Hutchinson, Olveston United Reserves Manager, said: “This sponsorship is a real boost for the club and we are very grateful for this contribution from ISG Pearce.
“Providing funding for the reserve team of an up and coming local side may not be the most glamorous corporate sponsorship – but this is a commitment to the local community that really makes a difference.
“The reserves are a crucial part of a local club, providing scope for developing young players; somewhere for players to return to full fitness following injuries; and as an outlet for more mature players to continue to play regular games and share their knowledge and skills,” said Tony.
ISG Pearce spokesperson, Hannah Ransom said: “At ISG Pearce we are committed to playing a full role in the local community.
“We are impressed by the energy and enthusiasm demonstrated by Olveston United in recent years and are delighted to contribute to their future success – we wish them all the best in the new season and their aim to achieve County League status.”
Olveston United was formed in 1926 and is situated between Thornbury town and the surrounding villages of Alveston, Olveston and Tockington. The most recent and significant event for the first team was gaining promotion to the Bristol Premier Combination in 1991. The reserves team are progressing in the Bristol and District League.
As part of its ongoing commitment to support and work with the local community, ISG Pearce is involved in a range of activities, including the ISG Pearce Future Builder programme for young people.
