08/05/07 St George Continues to Fight for Good Causes
The event was attended by nearly 100 construction industry guests from across the South West, and the collection raised a generous £640; a total which was then matched by ISG Pearce and rounded up to £1,300.
Welcoming guests to the venue for the event, Bordeaux Quay – fittingly, a ISG Pearce construction project - Chief Executive Colin Forrest reflected on an extremely successful year for the company and looked forward to continued growth in the coming twelve months. Colin restated the company’s commitment to its core values of health and safety, developing people and supporting its principal markets of the South West region and national retail contracts.
He said: “We are delighted with our continued progress in each of these main areas and the independent recognition that we are receiving. For example, we have recently been awarded a gold RoSPA certificate in recognition of our health and safety record and our approach to meeting our on site responsibilities. Earlier this year we were also recognised in the Sunday Times’ annual survey of businesses; being named as one of the Top 100 best places to work in the UK. The awards are a great reflection of the value that we place on our people and the absolute professionalism of our entire staff. And because of our continued growth, we will be looking to further strengthen our team by recruiting an additional 70 to 80 people over the course of 2007, across all disciplines”.
Colin concluded by looking at business in the region, noting that ISG Pearce has delivered projects to the value of £100m in Bristol alone in the course of the last twelve months and is looking to grow that by some 30% in 2007/ 08. Growth has come in each of the main business sectors – retail, education and industrial/ commercial buildings as well as in the affordable housing sector, where the company has worked closely with the Sovereign Development Consortium.
