23/11/06 ISG Pearce Wins £21m Rolls-Royce Contract
Work starts on site in November to build the 25,000 square metre building which will house the production facility for Rolls-Royce’s defence aircraft engines. A range of military aircraft, including the Eurofighter Typhoon, will be fitted with these new engines.
The new building will be of steel frame construction with steel cladding panels and features a barrel roof which will be 15 metres high at its peak. In addition to the production area, the building will provide office accommodation over four stories and a number of engineering laboratories.
