06/04/06   ISG Pearce group wins Primark contracts

Bristol based contractor, ISG Pearce announced today that it has been awarded contracts totalling £13 million by retail group Primark.

The contracts are for the refurbishment of three former Littlewoods stores that were acquired by Primark when it took over the Littlewoods Stores portfolio.

The stores to be refurbished are in Exeter, Swindon and Portsmouth and are all in shopping centre locations.  ISG Pearce will be responsible for the structural alterations to the stores as well as the shopfitting fit-out.

Commenting on the contract awards, Tim Stringer, Account Manager at ISG Pearce said: “We are delighted to have been selected by Primark to work on these projects. We are proud of the reputation that we have built for our work in the retail sector, and it’s very rewarding to secure new projects such as these.

“Although our work in each location is to refit the stores to Primark’s specification, each site poses quite different challenges. This is particularly true of the Swindon store, where we will be undertaking some quite substantial structural alterations and waterproofing work to the basement.”

The refurbished stores are due to open from this summer.
