Case Study  Rolls-Royce, New Production & Process Facility at Filton, Bristol

Phase 2 Redevelopment at Filton Bristol comprised the design and construction of a new production/process facilty and office accommodation.

The steel framed structure is founded on reinforced concrete pads with a suspended fibre mesh concrete ground floor slab including a precast concrete edge beam. Upper floors are metal deck with reinforced insitu concrete, serviced by precast concrete staircases.

The roof is an aluminium standing seam built up system and the external envelop is a composite cladding system. Curtain walling systems are incorporated into the works.

The mechanical and electrical installation incorporated an innovative low level displacement ventilation system that alleviates the need for a cooling system.
