Case Study North Star College, Swindon
The completed design & build project provides a new teaching block, performing arts facility and teaching workshops at North Star Swindon.
The steel framed structures and reinforced concrete slabs are founded on driven precast concrete and vibro replacement piles.
The envelope is a mixture of composite cladding, facing brickwork, through coloured render, curtain walling and ribbon windows.
The roofs are aluminium standing seam and single membrane on a metal liner the latter incorporating a double glazed atrium.
