ISG Pearce - Milestones

Since its formation over 80 years ago, ISG Pearce has grown to become a key player in UK construction and is now part of the leading international contractor ISG plc.

1922

Charles Henry Pearce forms CH Pearce Construction in Bristol.

1948

Pearce becomes the largest housebuilder in Bristol and the surrounding area.

1955

Pearce signs framework agreement with the M.O.D for work on military camps and establishments across the
South West.

1968

Quoted on the London
Stock Exchange.

1985

Pearce Group merges with
Crest Nicholson PLC.

1986

Pearce completes 250,000 ft2 European headquarters in Bristol for Hewlett Packard.

1993

Pearce delivers 800,000 ft2 Sony manufacturing facility in Bridgend, Wales.

1996

Awarded partnering contract with ASDA for store development across the UK.

2002

Further national partnering contracts awarded by Tesco, Waitrose, Sainsbury and M&S.

2003

Pearce signs management buyout from Crest
Nicholson PLC.

2004

Pearce Retail, Pearce Leisure, Pearce Health and Pearce Construction unite under the one Pearce Group Ltd.

2006

National framework appointments with M&S, Sainsbury and 2 further RSL’s - Peninsular and Source.

Completes phases 1 & 2 of the new Gerber Juice facility in Bridgwater with a combined value of £54m.

2007

Pearce Group purchased by international construction group ISG plc.

Awarded the new defence aerospace building and ancillary buildings for Rolls-Royce with combined value of £37m.

2008

Framework appointments won with Cardiff City Council, University of the West of England, Bromford and Sanctuary HA’s.

Achieves 2 star “Outstanding Organisation” accreditation and listed 37th in the Times Best 100 Companies list.
